I will be exhibiting my new work at the 15th Annual Wildlife Art Show in San Dimas October 21.

I just completed the call for entry's poster for the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles. The show will be held in March of 2012. Posters  of this painting will be for sell at  Comic-Con in San Deigo on July 21-24 at the SILA both..

21st Annual Cattlemen's Western Art Show

          This is my second year exhibiting my work in Paso Robles,        Cattlemen's Show.

My friend Don Weller a fellow illustrator and fine artist who was also in the show stopped by to watch me start my demo painting.
     Sculptor Joe Eggert  made sure I had the anatomy of the horse just right.

My friend Bob Krogle was also in this Art Show. We met 27 years ago when we were starting our careers as illustrators working together at a Design studio in L.A.

I started this painting at the show and worked on it about two hours each day.
 The finished painting on the last day of the show after about eight hours of work.
                           

Art in the Park October 23, 2010

I painted this two hour portrait study demo of our model Olivia

in oils on canvas.

Last Saturday I hosted a painting and drawing event at Griffith Park for the Society of Illustrators. I had a costume model pose under one of the large trees near the carousel and we all enjoyed the morning working in our individual styles. Here some pictures I shot of the event.
